I love being a storyteller with my photos!

PHOTOGRAPHY

My love for photography came at a very young age.  I received my first point and shoot camera when I was 11 years old and was filling photo albums with pictures of my friends and family from that point on.  My first job was developing film (yes, old school film rolls), at our local photography store.  I really wanted to document my life and memories when I was pregnant with my first son, so I upgraded to a DSLR camera.  It was important to me to capture both the big and small moments of our lives, as I knew that memories, as much as we love them, do fade.

This is my first camera.  I received it from Santa for Christmas and have been clicking away ever since!

Ultimately, as times changed and cameras evolved, I became and still am a Nikon girl!

MOTHERHOOD

Motherhood has been the most complex, yet rewarding journey of my life. As a mother of two very active boys, I’ve experienced the joy, challenges, and incredible love that comes with raising a family. Every day is filled with laughter, tears, and little moments that make my heart happy. To me, motherhood means accepting the chaos, celebrating the small victories, and living in the moment. It's taught me patience, resilience, and how very important family truly is!  Having taken literally thousands and thousands of pictures of us all, allows my memories to truly last forever!

After a successful 25 year career running my own business, Cooperstown Baseball World, I felt it was time to start a new chapter closer to home. I’ve been shooting for the past ten years at different school, social, sports and family events.  All of my friends and family know that my camera is always close by my side. My absolute favorite time taking photos was while both of my boys were in the elementary grades. I was in charge of taking all the photos at different school events and I could see the excitement of the children when they saw their pictures posted throughout the hallways and how quickly they would pose for me when they saw “Miss Deb”.

I’ve realized that no matter how much was going in my life, the photos I took, captured the best moments, and that over time, those are the memories I chose to hold onto.  My goal for you and your family is to document those moments, as well.

A simple photo, no matter how the rest of your day, week, or year has gone, can spark an emotion that will make you smile, laugh or even shed a much-needed tear.
